High-level 3D Printing event in Aalto University in April.

Focus of the first conference day is in medical applications of 3D Printing and on the second day the focus will be on industrial applications.

Chairs of the first conference day are medical specialist of the Aalto University 3D Printing research group Professor Antti Mäkitie, University of Helsinki and Professor Ian Gibson, Deakin University, Australia. Second day chairs are Professor Jouni Partanen, Aalto University and Antti Salminen, Lappeenranta University of Technology.

On the second conference day keynote speaker is world’s best known consult and statistics specialist in 3D Printing Terry Wohlers, USA who has kept over 150 keynotes about the topic. In other presentations Voxel technology from HP, Siemens production solutions and Desktop Metal technology will be introduced. Topics like 3D printed optics, software modules for 3D printing, topology optimization, and distributed manufacturing will also be covered during the day.

During the same time with the conference there will NORDIC3DEXPO exhibition, where companies will present 3D technologies based products and services in the exhibition. On Finnish point of view interesting product launches are expected since many well-known company has concentrated on solutions development until now.
There is no entrance fee to the NORDIC3DEXPO.

The main event partners are the Finnish 3D Printing association FIRPA and NORDIC3DEXPO. FIRPA 20th Anniversary Conference, is an international conference collecting speakers from about 10 countries.
