Dr Fan will talk about recent works on heat transport in low-dimensional materials, such as graphene from classical molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. We developed a powerful MD code called GPUMD that is a few hundred times faster than the serial version of the popular MD code LAMMPS. Many state-of-the-art methods for heat transport simulations have been implemented in our code. We have applied the developed methods to pristine and polycrystalline graphene and obtained excellent agreement with experiments.
