Muhammad Ammad-ud-din, M.Sc. (Tech.), will defend the dissertation "Machine learning methods for improving drug response prediction in cancer" on 27 July 2017 at 12 noon in Aalto University School of Science, lecture hall T2, Konemiehentie 2, Espoo. The thesis proposes new computational and machine learning methods to improve drug response prediction in cancer cells. This prediction of drug responses with greater accuracy is important in cancer studies as it can assist in the prime challenge of personalizing cure for individual patients.
